Lamon Gero Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Crevasse's Simple Cremation - Jacksonville on Nov. 19, 2025.
Lamon Gero (Auston), 54, of Old Town, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on November 13, 2025.
Born in Lakeland, Florida, Lamon was the daughter of Lowell Laverne Morgan and Marsha Elaine Smith, and the loving older sister of Jessi Gero.
Lamon had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether she was fishing, swimming, or tending to her garden, she found peace and joy in nature. She had a special affection for animals and cared for them with the same kindness she showed the people in her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Marsha.
Lamon is survived by her life partner, Ryan Whitwood; her daughters, Morgan Roberts (Scott Ice Jr.) and Ashley Wells; her son, Emery Roberts; her sister, Jessi Gero; her nephew, Devon Gero (Sara Gero), and niece, Paige Nixon; her aunt, Bonnie McMullen, and Bonnie's daughter, Kody. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Wyat Roberts, Payton Ice, Brynleigh Ice, Aurora Ice, Stephen Wells, and Emery Roberts Jr.; as well as her niece, Saige Harrod, and nephew, Devon Gero Jr.
The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to Bonnie McMullen for her unwavering support, love, and guidance. She was a constant presence in Lamon's life, always answering every call, offering comfort, and serving as her North Star. Deep appreciation is also given to all who offered emotional or financial support during this time. Lamon had many friends whom she spoke of often and with great affection.
Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
"If Roses grow in Heaven Lord,
Please pick some for me.
Place them in my mother's arms
And tell her they're from me.
Tell her that I love her and miss her,
And when she turns to smile
Place a kiss upon her cheek
And hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day,
But there's an ache within my heart
That will never go away"
