Lan To Mach-Truong
Entered into rest on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 at the age of 69. Loving wife of 53 years to the late Sang Truong, dear daughter of the late Duong Ngoc Mach and Lan Thi Thom, cherished mother of Van (Barry) Truong-Moore, Kimberly (Gary) Morganstern, Shawn (Trinh), Scott (Aey), and Tommy (Lien) Truong, beloved grandmother of Serena, Malcolm, Lauren, Aidan, Alec, Amia, Christian, Pearl, Brandon, Camille and Chloe, dear sister of Hoa To, Tuyen Buu, Thanh Buu, Minh Buu, the late Lieu To and Son Buu Mach and sister-in-law of Vinh, Minh, Sinh, Julian, Steven, Janice, Tony, Scott, and the late Chuong Truong. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Our mom was a woman who wore many hats and wore them all with grace and dignity. She was a business woman, a poet, an artist, and the best homemade bún bò Hu maker in the universe. But beyond these roles, she was a story-teller, weaving tales that brought laughter, reflection, wisdom, and occasionally, a necessary reality check. Mom was the very essence of compassion, of duty, of style, of beauty. To all whose lives she touched she was a symbol of selfless humanity. But her greatest gift was her intuition and it was a gift she used wisely. This is what underpinned all her other wonderful attributes and if we look to analyze what it was about her that had such a wide appeal we find it in her instinctive feel for what was really important in all our lives.
We honor our mom by remembering her not with tears in our eyes, but love in our hearts and smiles on our faces. We remember her laughter, her wisdom, and most importantly, her unwavering love for her family. And her dedication and willingness to sacrifice for the good of others.
On Monday, May 20th, family and friends will gather for the incense burning from 9am until the time of the Monk service, which will be from 10am until 11:30am. Cremation will take place at 11:45am. - All at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center.
