Lana Bednarowicz Obituary

Lana Kay Bednarowicz, 79, Urbandale, passed away July 13, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born July 31, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to LeRoy and June (Wakland) Fifield. Lana graduated from Linn Mar High School and went to Kirkwood Community College and received her associate's degree. She worked many jobs, but her last one was at US Cellular. Lana loved to cross stitch, play video games like Zelda, read Harry Potter books and watch movies. Lana is survived by her children, Kim Sharpe, and her children Lucas (Ashley) Sharpe, Cody Sharpe and Jake (Ally) Sharpe; Shelley Glass and her children, Ashley Glass and Reece Snitker; Michael (Kara) Cobb and their children, Kaylea Cobb, Zachary Cobb and Samuel Cobb; three great-grandchildren and some nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bednarowicz; parents, June and LeRoy "Hickory" Fifield; sisters, Beverly Rowland and Laureen "Laurie" Fifield; and brother, LeRoy "Thumper" Fifield. Lana has been cremated, and no services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be directed to Royal Oak Nursing and Rehab, 4614 NW 84th Street, Urbandale, Iowa 50322 in Lana's name.
