Lana Montgomery Couch, age 65, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024. Lana was born on June 27, 1959, to Billy Jo and Alice Montgomery. Lana was raised in Forney, TX, and graduated from Forney High School in 1977. She went on to pursue her education and achieved a bachelors degree from North Texas State University, and a masters degree from Amberton University. Lana was inducted into the Forney Hall of Honor as a distinguished alumni in 2003. Lana led a highly successful career in public relations and nonprofit. She married the love of her life, Chris Couch, in 1995. Lana was a family-oriented, passionate, and deeply religious woman, who led a full life. Lana was actively involved in church throughout her life and remained a member of First Baptist Dallas until her passing. One of Lana’s favorite things to do in her final years was to spend time with her granddaughter, who called her Jojo. Being a mother and grandmother were among Lana’s greatest accomplishments.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Jo Montgomery, and her husband, Chris Couch. Lana is survived by her mother, Alice Montgomery, children, Gordon Couch and Ali Chapman, and grandchildren, Rylee and Kayde, as well as a multitude of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church in Forney, TX. Visitation will be Thursday, December 5th, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 6th, at 11:00 AM. Graveside service to follow.
