Lana C. West

The world lost its sparkle on Saturday, October 18, 2025, and gave it to the heavens. Lana Condill West, whose warmth and kindness touched so many, at the age of 80 passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family.
Lana was born on October 30, 1944, in Owatonna, MN. She graduated from North Branch Area High School in 1963, then attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Lana worked as a receptionist at an interior design firm in downtown St Paul where she met her husband, Allen L. West, who was an interior designer. They married on September 14, 1968. The couple had two children, Tonia and Scott, and continued to make their home in the Twin Cities until moving to Owatonna in 1972.
From the beginning Allen and Lana both enjoyed updating and redesigning the homes they lived in. Lana's artistic nature was shown throughout their home, yard, and flower gardens. She truly had a gift of making things beautiful. One of Lana's favorite things to do was visiting local nurseries with her close friends. Her grandkids brought her so much joy, and she loved spoiling them. All through her life Lana greatly enjoyed the companionship of dogs. She cherished the visits from her "grand pups" and her neighbor's Golden Retriever.
Lana is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tonia Miller (and Joe); her son, Scott West (and Katherine); her grandchildren, Danny Dovell, Nova West, and Jade Zoern (and Alec); and great-granddaughter, Addison. She continues to live through the birds that grace the skies with her husband Allen, reminding us of their loving spirit.
