Lance Caddell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Williams Funeral Directors - Garland on Jan. 7, 2026.
Lance Jade Caddell was born on May 23, 1970, to Leon Jones Caddell, Jr. and Elda Elois (Lois) Caddell. He was the middle of three sons and grew up grounded in family, responsibility, and a strong work ethic that shaped every part of his life.

Lance graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, Texas, in 1988, where he proudly competed on the varsity football and pole vault teams. Even in his youth, Lance showed determination, discipline, and a natural talent for understanding how things worked - qualities that would define both his career and his character.

Lance found his calling in fixing and building. He worked in RV repair, apartment maintenance, and handyman services before discovering his gift for electrical troubleshooting and repair. In 1999, he passed the Master Electrician exam and founded Caddell Electric Services. Over the next 26 years, Lance built not only a successful business, but a legacy of mentorship. He trained, managed, and inspired more than one hundred journeyman and wireman electricians while serving thousands of customers. Teaching others and seeing them succeed was one of his greatest professional joys.

In September of 2013, Lance married the love of his life, Stephanie. Lance loved Stephanie deeply, cherishing their partnership in both life and work. Together, they managed Caddell Electric Services side by side for many years. Stephanie was his confidant, his anchor, and his greatest blessing. Their life together in Rockwall, Texas, was filled with laughter, shared purpose, and time spent with family and close friends.

Lance was a proud and devoted father who welcomed his children into the family business and encouraged them to pursue their own paths. He had three sons (Brandon, Cody and Jansen) and welcomed three more children (Elijah, Ethan and Lilly) when he joined Stephanie in marriage. His kids enjoyed Lance's most loved activities with him including IndyCar races, hunting, fishing, golfing, cooking, electrician work and riding on Lance's prized wakeboard boat.

In early 2025, Lance discovered a new and deeply meaningful chapter in his life as an instructor at IEC Dallas (Independent Electrical Contractors). Teaching two nights a week, he found great fulfillment in mentoring students, sharing not only technical knowledge but wisdom gained through decades of experience. He truly loved his students and took pride in seeing their confidence and skills grow.

Lance is survived by his wife, Stephanie and children Brandon and daughter-in-law Dixie, Dakota "Cody" Jansen, Elijah and his fiancée Brittany, Ethan and daughter-in-law Haley and Lily. He is also survived by his older brother Lyle and sister-in-law Cathy, younger brother Leith and sister-in-law Angi.

Lance will be remembered as a master of his craft, a dedicated teacher, a man of integrity, and above all, a loving husband and father. His love for Stephanie, his commitment to his family, and his generosity in teaching others leave a legacy that will endure through the many lives he touched.
