Lance Lavoy Dozier

Lancey Lavoy Dozier, 63, of Stuart, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024, at his home. Lance was born on January 14, 1961, in Eureka, California, the son of Edgar Eugene and Bessie Cordie (Sisco) Dozier. He attended high school in Paris, Texas. Lance worked as a truck driver for forty years. On November 30, 2019, Lance married the love of his life, Shirley Mae Brown in McAlester, Oklahoma. In his free time, Lance enjoyed fishing, playing pool, singing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with family and friends. He was a jokester and always liked to have fun. He was a talented musician who played the guitar and banjo.
Survivors include: his wife, Shirley, of the home; son, Derrek Dozier and wife Rue, of Denver, Co; brothers, Dennis Dozier and wife Faye of Davis, Oklahoma, Alex Dozier of Wynnewood, Oklahoma and Cliff Dozier of Duncan, Oklahoma; sisters, Angelean Dozier and Dayna Dozier both of Wynnewood; and his ornery cat, Six Toe Groucho. He is also survived by special friends, Steve and Kenna Brosz and numerous extended friends and a host of special cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ronnie.
