Lance Nicholson

Mr. Lance N. Nicholson, 85, of Pittsfield, died on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in Pittsfield on March 18, 1940, son of the late Norman and Dorothy (Hudleston) Nicholson. He attended schools in Pittsfield and graduated from Pittsfield High School.
He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1959 to1962. He was employed by the General Electric Company, Martin Marietta and he retired from Lockheed Martin as a machinist. He later returned to work at Beloit Lenox as a machinist. He was an expert marksman and a member of the Lenox Sportsmen's Club. Mr. Nicholson married the former Rosemary A. Demary on June 16, 1962 and she predeceased him in 2012.
He is survived by his two sons, Lance N. Nicholson Jr. and his wife Karen and Dale A. Nicholson both of Pittsfield, three granddaughters, Rebecca Nicholson and her fiancé Nathan Jamroga, Rachel Nicholson, Brittany Hunter and her family. He is also survived by his brother Jeffrey S. Nicholson and his wife Suzan and two nephews Jeremy and Aaron.
Per his wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
