LANCE EARL PAXTON

1967-2021

Heaven became an even more beautiful place on April 1, 2021, when Lance Earl Paxton returned home to the joy of his Heavenly family and friends, but to the grief of those he leaves behind.

Lance was born July 20, 1967 to Marion Earl and Lola May Seyersdahl Paxton. A little brother, Lane Larry Paxton, would follow shortly.

Lance attended Valley View Elementary School, Mueller Park Junior High and Bountiful High School. He attended Bountiful 32nd Ward and Val Verda 9th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He earned his Eagle Scout Award and participated in the Boy Scouts of America his entire life.

On September 11, 1992, he married the love of his life, Gayle Lynn Chiders. They were blessed with two sons, Logan Robert Earl and Marcus Lance Paxton.

Lance excelled at his on-the-job training, testing and receiving his A&P License. He worked for Sinclair Services Aviation Department for twenty-five years, serving as Director of Maintenance

Lance loved the out of doors--fishing, fly fishing, hunting, camping, motorcycling, gardening and all things with his sons, were his passions.

Lance was preceded in death by his father, Marion Earl Paxton. He is survived by his wife, Gayle; his two sons, Logan and Marcus; his brother, Lane Larry (Joni); his mother, Lola May Paxton Brown (Boyd L.); and his four nephews: Carter, Dalton, Hayden and Marshal Paxton.

Lance was such a good friend. Always kind, hardworking and funny. A great example to me as we grew up together.

One of the best youth events we have ever been involved with was the pioneer trek when Lance and Gail were on the food committee with us. Their scouting experience and jovial nature made the hard work seem fun. Our passion for gardening has been enhanced by the advice received from Lance and Gail. We love the Paxtons and will miss Lance very much.
