BOONVILLE – Lancing A. “Len” Chapman, 82, formerly of Glendale, died Saturday evening, December 20, 2025 at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center with his family by his side.

Lance was born on January 20, 1943 in Utica, the son of the late Lancing C. and Katherine (Walts) Chapman. He attended school in Utica. He married Bonnie A. Young on September 16, 1983 at Munnsville. In Utica he worked at Dunlop Tire and Rubber for over 20 years. Lance volunteered for Lewis County Office For the Aging. The couple made their home in “Glendale”. Bonnie died on December 10, 2005.

He is survived by his seven children, Richard L. (Christy) Chapman; Deborah A. Chapman; Linda A. (late Jerry) Johnson; Ellen L. (late Peter) Johnson; Terry F. (William) Reed; Robin E. (Duane) Der; and Ruben J. Dibble; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and great -great grandchildren; his Chaires family; his sister Mary Wilbur.

Lance is predeceased by his daughter, Tammy L. Wisterman, and his granddaughter, Katlin Rose Chapman.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, December 27th, from Noon until 1:00pm, at the Sundquist Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor David Johnson, Vernon Baptist Church, officiating.

Spring burial will be in Brantingham Cemetery.

Len was a member of Vernon Baptist Church, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and was an avid outdoorsman. Lance liked working on his cars, country and religious music, and traveling.
