Landon Carr Bashlor, age 19, passed away suddenly the night of Sunday, May 26, 2024 in
Waycross, Georgia.
Landon was born in Brunswick, Georgia and raised in both Waycross and Blackshear; he lived with his parents in
Blackshear, Georgia. As a student in both Pierce and Ware County school systems, Landon was known for keeping everyone on their toes. He was employed at Bargeron Electric, where he became friends with many of his coworkers. Landon was known as a social butterfly with a contagious smile that could light up any room he entered. At a very young age, Landon fell in love with every aspect of the great outdoors and became an avid fisherman; his innovative nature even led him to make his own fishing lures, which were quite the success in catching the big ones. He spent many days and nights fishing with his friends, family, or in solitude at his Papa and Nanny's pond as well as anywhere he could find to drop a line.
He is preceded in death by his infant brother, William Stacy Bashlor, and his great-grandparents, Herbert Carr of Waycross, Nell Carr Rowell and JW Rowell of Waycross, Hubert and Mildred Bashlor of Waycross, Mickey and Barbara McGowan of Waycross, and Roy and Helen Youmans of Blackshear.
Landon is survived by his parents, William and Stacy Bashlor of Blackshear, his brother, Layne (Tiffany) Bashlor of Waycross, his sister, Jillian Bashlor of Blackshear, three nephews, Braxton, Brady, and Benson Stewart of Waycross, his beloved dog, Crash of Blackshear, his four grandparents, Wayne and Glenda Bashlor (Papa and Nanny) and Walter and Dana Youmans (PopPop and Gigi) of Waycross, his aunt, Sheri Bashlor (Hot Sheri) of Waycross, and his uncle, Tony (Miranda) Youmans of Millwood, his cousins, Gunnar Youmans of Shaw AFB, Alexis Youmans Ragusa of
Manhattan, Kansas, and Gracie Morgan of Millwood, his girlfriend, Carrie Musgrove of Waycross, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to informal visitations on Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 1:00pm through 6:00pm on both days. Both visitations will be held at the home of Landon's PopPop and Gigi, Walter and Dana Youmans, located at 2140 Tamara Road, Waycross.
All family and friends are also welcome to attend the graveside service and burial on Thursday, June 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetary, near the great outdoors, where he always wanted to be.
