Robert Maxwell Bashlor, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away on August 25, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was 54 years old. Robert was born on January 24, 1971, in Hamilton, Bermuda, where his father, Clarence, was stationed in the U.S. Navy.

Robert was a great joy to his family, and we will be forever grateful for our time together. His kind and gentle spirit colored everything he did and was evident in his unwavering devotion to those he loved. Animals held a special place in his heart, and he treated them with the same love and compassion he extended to everyone around him. Robert was also an avid reader with a deep love for learning.

A fiercely loyal and protective presence within his family, Robert dedicated much of his time to caring for his father, Clarence Bashlor, after the passing of his mother, Shirley. His devotion was a testament to the strength of his character and the depth of his love for his family.

Robert was adored by his sister, Lisa Schlegel (Bashlor), and had a loving relationship with his brother-in-law, Pete, and his nephew, Tyler. Robert's love and quiet strength will always be a source of comfort for us.

Inurnment will be held at Jacksonville Memory Gardens at a later date.

For those who would like to remember Robert, donations can be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society.
