Landon Patrick Evans, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on August 21, 2025, at the age of 34. Born on October 9, 1990, Landon brought light, laughter, and love into the lives of all who knew him.
Landon’s kindness was his hallmark. He had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. With his warm smile and compassionate spirit, he left a lasting impression on friends, family, and strangers alike.
Landon achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, exemplifying dedication, service, and leadership from a young age. His desire to serve others continued as he devoted two years of his life as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Los Angeles, California, where he touched countless lives through his faith, kindness, and example.
A lifelong lover of soccer, Landon’s passion for the game was unmatched. Whether playing, watching, or encouraging others on the field, the sport was woven deeply into his life. He was also a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, proudly cheering them on with unwavering loyalty.
Gifted with a photographic memory, Landon delighted in reciting entire movie lines at the drop of a hat, bringing humor and joy to countless gatherings. His quick wit and wicked sense of humor filled rooms with laughter, making every moment spent with him unforgettable.
Most of all, Landon loved his family. His devotion to them was steadfast, and his greatest joy came from being with those he loved most. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Boyd and JoAnn Evans of Overland Park, KS. Landon is survived by his maternal grandparents, Delbert and Denise Payne of Cardston, Alberta, Canada; his parents, Darci and Patrick Evans of Olathe, KS; and his siblings: Alexander Evans, his wife Lauren, and their children, Florence and Ellis of Canton, MI; Madison Evans of Leawood, KS; and Ethan Evans and his wife Jacklyn of St. Petersburg, FL.
Landon’s life, though far too short, was rich in love, laughter, and service. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A visitation in honor of Landon will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM, followed by a memorial service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, both taking place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 21515 W 101st ST, Lenexa, KS 66220.Family, friends and all whose lives were brightened by Landon’s spirit are warmly invited to pay their respects and celebrate his life.
