Paradise Funeral Chapel - SaginawMr. Landon Taylor III passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, at Saginaw Select Medical Center, in Saginaw, Michigan. Age75 years. Landon was born in Saginaw, moved to Illinois in his twenties, and moved back to Saginaw, Michigan, where he has resided for the last thirty years.
Landon, also known as "Hamp or Handsome", to his friends and loved ones, enjoyed fishing, grilling, and riding motorcycles. His favorite was his most recent and well-loved motorcycle, a Harley-Davidson. Landon held various jobs throughout his life, and had several businesses over his lifetime, including a motor vehicle detailing business and a fish and BBQ take-out restaurant. He was a free spirit and loved being in open waters in his boat or on the open road with his motorcycle. In his last decade, he came to love spending time with his cherished pit mix terriers, Socrates and Julisa, and enjoyed taking them to run free on backcountry roads and parks.
Landon leaves to cherish his memory five children, Sabrina (Larry Sr.) Brittain Russell of Saginaw, Michigan, Micah Dennison of Holton, Michigan, Glasa (Kervin Thomas), Gottschalk of Rockford, Illinois, Jonathon Woodard of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Landon Taylor IV of Midland, Michigan; one stepchild, Naomi (Richard) Nocera of Brooklyn, New York; one grandson, Griffin Ali Taylor of Midland, Michigan; one step grandson, Sequoia Nocera; one sister, Delores Houston, many other relatives and friends, including special friends; many nieces and nephews, great nieces, nephews, and cousins; favorite nephew, Danyeil "Yelly" Taylor, including cherished friends, Obadiah "OB" Baker, Elmo Jackson, John Jones, and Charlotte Thomas.
Landon was preceded in death by parents, father, Landon Taylor Jr. and mother, Corine (Williams) Taylor; siblings, Arvis "Daddy Buck" Washington, Mary Ann (Washington) Ezell, Joyce (Washington) Gilmore, James Henry "Truck" Taylor
The family would like to express special thanks to Covenant Hospital V-ICU Doctors and Nurses, and Select Specialty Hospital Nurses and Staff.
