With profound sorrow, we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Landon Cade Baldwin, who was tragically taken from us on June 8, 2025, in San Diego, California.
Born on July 16, 1996, in Tucson, Arizona, Landon was a devoted son, a loyal brother, a loving husband, and a proud, adoring father. To know him was to love him-his warmth, authenticity, and open heart made him a friend to all and a stranger to none. Landon was the steady light in our lives-the one we could always count on.
He will be forever remembered for his compassion, vibrant humor, playful spirit, athleticism, and, above all, his deep love for his family. Whether cracking a joke, lifting others with encouragement, or leading with quiet strength, Landon brought joy and ease to those around him. His presence brightened every room, and his laughter was the soundtrack to countless cherished memories.
But what truly defined Landon was his unwavering faith. He was a man wholly devoted to God-a disciple of Christ in every sense. His love for the gospel shaped every part of his life, and he lived his faith with integrity, humility, and boldness. Landon didn't simply speak of God's love-he embodied it. He showed up when others wouldn't, he prayed with conviction, and he loved with the heart of Christ. His spiritual legacy is one that will continue to inspire generations.
Landon is survived by: his beloved children, Heston and Kiana, who were the light of his life. He is also deeply missed by his loving parents, Larry and Rachele Baldwin; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheyenne (AJ), Tanesha (Chance), Lachele (Reese), Chalet (Jace), and Tacye (Rhett); and his 14 treasured nieces and nephews. His life touched countless friends and extended family members, each forever changed by the joy of knowing him.
He is preceded in death by: his cherished wife, Torrie, the love of his life; and by his grandparents, Carol and Gary Robertson and Perry Leonel Baldwin.
Landon lived fully and loved fiercely. He was the heart of every gathering-the joyful soul, the spirited jokester, the one who made others feel seen and valued. His magnetic presence, radiant smile, and generous heart leave behind an enduring light in a world dimmed by his loss.
Though his time with us was far too short, Landon lived each day with purpose, joy, and faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to God that will never be forgotten.
Rest easy, aviator. "Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of Him to declare His word among His people, that they might have everlasting life." – 3 Nephi 5:1
Torrie Danette Baldwin, of Pima Arizona, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Torrie was born July 22, 1999, youngest daughter of Mark and Marcy Beus. Torrie grew up in Pima, AZ and participated in every imaginable sport, activity, and event. A black belt in Kenpo Karate at the tender age of 11, she excelled at multiple sports and dabbled in many others. She even ended up coaching the Pima Tennis Team whom she blessed with her cheerleading attitude. She loved to sing in school productions, church settings, and community events -- but mostly for the select audience of whoever happened to be at her house. Torrie was a friend to all and a joy to be around. In spite of (or maybe because of) her diminutive stature, she developed a formidable -- and occasionally fierce -- tendency to stand up for herself and those she cared about. Torrie loved adventure and fun and found ways to indulge her interests wherever she happened to be. Torrie graduated from Pima High School in 2017 a proud Roughrider, with cheerleading uniforms and awards to prove it.
As a young adult Torrie graduated from EAC, where she not only earned an associate degree but also met and married the love of her life, Landon Baldwin. They married December 7, 2018, and began an unmatched relationship of love and devotion. Torrie's adventures, sports, and singing career have of late been relegated to family home evening hide and seek, long walks with a double stroller, and "do you know the muffin man," as Torrie and Landon have been blessed with two beautiful children, Heston (3) and Kiana (1). These children have been the light and life of Torrie and Landon's lives. They were fantastic parents who sought to teach, bless, and love their posterity in every possible way. They "were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death, they were not divided."
Torrie and Landon are survived by their children, Heston and Kiana. Torrie is survived by her parents Mark and Marcy Beus; her siblings and their spouses, Ty Beus (Michelle), Porter Beus (Angela), Laurissa Stephenson (Wayne), Jarom Beus (Jordan), and Brianna Beus; 12 beloved nieces and nephews: her grandmother, Leslie Jones; and many other loving family members and friends.
From a mortal perspective their lives were far too short, and all our sorrows cannot bring their return. Torrie and Landon were people of great faith and devotion to God and His Son Jesus Christ and will in the eternities rejoice with their children, family, and friends and sing songs of redeeming love -- and maybe a few bars of the muffin man.
An open house to honor Landon and Torrie will be commemorated on Friday evening, June 20, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Pima Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Family will receive friends Saturday morning, June 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., in the Relief Society room of the Pima Stake Center.
A Celebration of Life for Landon and Torrie will be conducted Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., also at the Pima Stake Center.
