Landon Vance Obituary

He was a member of the Cleveland United Methodist Church and a former board member of the Cleveland Life Saving Crew. He retired from the AEP Clinch River Power Plant after 33 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Lester L. Vance, Laura Smith, Lillian "Dean" Cassell, Farley Vance, and Lakon "Scoby" Vance.
Survivors include his loving wife, Loretta Worley Vance; children, Donna Fields (Jerry), Teresa Mercer (Steve), Dennis Vance (Theresa), P. J. Vance (Sophie) and Dalton Gilbert (Jaimie); stepdaughter, Christi Carter; sister, Linda Warren, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held.
Memorials may be made, in his honor, to the Cleveland Life Saving Crew, P.O. Box 129, Cleveland, Virginia 24225.
Owens Funeral Service and Cremation Services, 7 Tate Ave., Lebanon, Virginia, is in charge of arrangements.
