Lane Feathers, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
He was born on December 2, 1940, in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky to the late Harvey and Vera (Pickett) Feathers.
Lane was a loving husband, proud father, and adored brother.
As a U.S. Air Force veteran, Lane served his country with pride for four years. After his service, he went on to pursue a career in electrical engineering that lasted over 50 years with companies like Wang Labs and Best Power.
He was an avid cook, known for his legendary Sunday breakfasts, Teriyaki Chicken Wings and the best Pork Dipping Sauce the world over. He had a deep love for nature evidenced by his many pecan trees, grape vines and blackberry bushes, as well as the unexplained mysteries of the universe, and the simple joy of star gazing.
Additionally, he enjoyed fishing and was a collector of many things he found interesting and enlightening. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and fondness for telling a good story to anyone who would slow down and listen.
Lane is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Melinda Feathers, his son, Scot Feathers (and wife Morakot), his children by marriage, David DeSanto and Kelly Keller (and husband Mike), his five grandchildren, Isaac Feathers, Shelby, Maranda, Halie, and Michael Keller, and one great-grandson, Matthew Vincent.
