Charles F. "Skip" Medley, Sr. 94, of Louisville passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Episcopal Church Home.

Skip was the owner and operator of Medley's Auto and Truck Alignment Services, Inc., which was originally founded by his father, Charles E. Medley, in 1944. Skip was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Pope John 23rd Council at St. Rita Catholic Church and an active member at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Skip approached life with a deep spirit of adventure, spending time backpacking, hiking, navigating white water canoe routes, and traveling the world. A founding member of the Viking Canoe Club and a dedicated Boy Scout Leader, he shared his love of the outdoors with countless others. Skip was a devoted history buff with special interest in Lewis and Clark and World War II. His lifelong love of rivers; he found joy in both exploring the world and understanding the stories behind the places he visited.
In addition to his parents and siblings, he is also preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 70 years, Joan Schaefer Medley and a granddaughter, Rachel Medley.
Skip is survived by his children, Chuck (Wendy) Medley, David (Terry), Steve (Pennie), Rick (Sheila), Chris (Susan) and Barbara Medley Kmetz (Mike); fifteen grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Medley, Jennifer Sivels (Chris), Eric Medley, Nicole Medley (Brad Shiley), Morgan Moser (Neil), Sarah Peace, Tyler (Sarah) Kmetz, Kelley Kendall (Jeremy), William (Kelli) Medley, Matthew Medley, Sam (Dallas) Medley, Michael Medley, Alex (Jane) Medley, Anna Medley (Max Rappy) and Katie Kmetz. He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kieran Smith, Monica Epperson (Louie) and many nieces and nephews.
