Karen M. Klemenz, 71, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Baptist Health Louisville. She was born September 19, 1954, in Louisville, a daughter to the late Michael Joseph Klemenz, Sr. and Mary Muhs Klemenz.
Karen was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and the University of Louisville. She loved her 40+ year career as a legal secretary, retiring in 2020. Karen was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and a lifelong UL Cardinal fan.
Karen is survived by her two brothers, Michael J. Klemenz, Jr., John Robert Klemenz, Sr. (Mary Anne) and her sister, Diane K. Schuhmann; seven nieces and nephews, Laura Schuhmann Crawford (Will), Tom Schuhmann, Jr. (Anne), William Schuhmann, Gwen Lewis (Alan), Bobby Klemenz, Jr., Matthew Klemenz, and Elizabeth Klemenz.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Monday, November 17, 2025, at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2141 Lancashire Avenue with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30-9:30 am Monday, November 17th at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Schools or Locust Grove Historic Home.
