On the evening of Sunday, November 9, 2025, Diana Curtis Daub, age 79 of Louisville, quietly and peacefully transitioned from this life, to life everlasting with God. Born on July 10, 1946, in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Howard A. Curtis and Evelyn R. Woods Curtis.
Naturally soft spoken, Diana was a devoted English teacher for her entire working career. Over forty-seven years, she taught thousands of students the art of literature with a fierce passion; especially with the works of Shakespeare. Diana was known for her love of his work, and even honored him with a birthday celebration in her classrooms each year. A devoted woman of faith, Diana was a member of Cathedral of the Assumption in Louisville where she also served as a Eucharistic minister. In her later years, she attended St. Martha Catholic Church.
Diana will be remembered for her loving and long-lasting friendships she shared with many people, and for the wisdom she taught unto her many students over the years. Her memory is a blessing that will continue in the hearts of all who knew her.
In addition to her parents Howard and Evelyn, she is preceded in death by her dear friend and former sister-in-law, Diane Daub.
Left to cherish her memory are her best friend of over 60 years, Melanie Fort; Melanie's son and caregiver to Diana, Dean Fort; and her longtime friend Robert Owen.
A funeral mass to celebrate Diana's life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
