Lanny James Brutsman (64) was born September 5, 1961, and died in Cheyenne, Wyoming on February 18, 2026. He was the first-born son of E.M. (Mickey) and Joanne Brutsman.

Lanny has five siblings Kim File (Darren) of Fort Collins, Co, Penny White (Tony) of Douglas, Wyoming, Dr. Jane Brutsman of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Dean Brutsman (Rosanna) of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Billy Brutsman (Michelle) of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Lanny attended Cheyenne Schools for twenty-one years and finished in 1980.

Lanny touched the lives of so many and was a blessing to all those who knew him. He exemplified Light and Love In all aspects of his life. Lanny was always joyful, and his smile would light up the room. He welcomed newcomers with open arms and would run out to greet visitors as if they were the most important person in the world. Lanny made everyone feel special. He loved the simple things in life like sharing pictures, stories, joking around, collecting policeman paraphernalia, feeding the squirrels and taking an afternoon break for tea. His favorite pastime was watching Wheel of Fortune and seeing Vanna White. Lanny enjoyed attending the annual ARC Christmas Party. Lanny was a content soul. He was grateful for everything and appreciated the world around him, people, places, and things. Through his thoughts, words, and actions, Lanny taught us all the true meaning of unconditional love.

Lanny is survived by his parents E.M. (Mickey) and Joanne Brutsman; and five siblings Kim File (Darren) of Fort Collins, Co, Penny White (Tony) of Douglas, Wyoming, Dr. Jane Brutsman of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Dean Brutsman (Rosanna) of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Billy Brutsman (Michelle) of Cheyenne, Wyoming; nieces: Angela Hanson (Jeremy), Sandra Wankel, Dianna Calvetti (Colter), Jessica Tran (Ron), Jodi Flath, Britney Zympas (Christos), Allehanna Brutsman, Aryanna Brutsman, Katana Brutsman; nephews: Anthony White, Andrew White (Lauren}, Austin White, Dean Brutsman Jr., Dallas Brutsman, Dakota Brutsman, Daxton Brutsman, Darrell (Ajay) Brutsman, Corey Burleski (Jamie), Tyler Brutsman (Mary); great nieces: Lexus Jones (Alex), Taya Hanson, Aiyana Wankel, Vanellope Calvetti, Alice Calvetti, Nora Tran, Rachel Tran, OliviaTran, Mia Zympas, Sophie Zympas; and great nephews: Michael Brutsman, Jackson Buswell, Nathan Buswell, Wyatt Burleski, and Jacob Burleski.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes, 1900 E 19th Street, Cheyenne, Wyoming. Funeral Services will held on Friday, February 27th, 2026. The viewing will be from 11 :00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Funeral Services will follow at 1 :00 p.m with the burial immediately following the service at Lakeview Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow the interment at The Gathering Place. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to ARC of Laramie County, the Animal Shelter, or the charity of your choice.
