As a freshmen starting off of my first year in Grayson highschool, I was introduced to Basic Agriculture and FFA. Mrs. Larson truly was a kind soul and a believer that every kid can succeed in life. Her smiles and education built her students with so many skills, forming connections among everyone and building a foundation of trust towards the teachers. Her talents even when she was sick and Ill, powering through cancer allowed us to she her dedication towards her work and ethics. I will miss her and truly she had become my favorite teacher. I will always keep her in mind and keep what she started continuing with the new Grayson tech Horticulture program.

I remember the first day I met Mrs. Larson. I was scared what her class was going to be like because my friends who had her before had told me stories on her classwork. Once I really got to know Mrs. Larson her class felt like a second home. I had made a group of friends in her class that I am still friends with today. Always brought a smile to our faces even when she herself was not feeling well. She would tell us stories in the middle of class when we were supposed to be learning. Mrs. Larson made sure we were all understanding what she was teaching. Helping us no matter what we were struggling on. Mrs. Larson was an amazing teacher, and she made her classroom a safe space for anyone. My group dearly misses her and we hope she rests in peace.

I will miss sharing a classroom hall with Lara. She was an amazing woman with a genuine love for flowers, bees, and all things agriculture. She was passionate about sharing this knowledge with students. While she was a great teacher she was also an incredible person with a big heart. She worked tirelessly to support the people in her world whether they were students, coworkers, friends, or family. I admired her and am thankful to have known her. Her zinnias will continue to bloom in my garden in her memory. Rest in peace Lara, you will be missed deeply but remembered very fondly.

I enjoyed working with Lara in the greenhouse at Grayson HS and as her substitue for Spanish for a year on Fridays. Her passion for her students was evident in the classroom instructions left for me as a sub. Her passion in the greenhouse was also very obvious as she donated the food grown to the SE Gwinnett Co-Op to feed their families.
My condolences to her family during this time. I pray that God's love surround them with comfort in the comming days.
