Services for Larry Alexander, 73, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 28, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Chaplain Eddy Carrell officiating. Burial will follow in Kimball Bend Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Blake Alexander, Aiden Alexander, Carey Sheridan, Clint Lawshe, Jeremy Alexander, and Jamie Alexander.
Larry passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024, in Fort Worth. He was born July 23, 1950, in Cleburne to Maurice and Bobbie (Watson) Alexander. Larry married Linda Smith on October 4, 1976 in Weatherford, Texas. He was a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church. Larry dedicated 24 years of his life working for the Railroad beginning with Santa Fe and retiring with BNSF as an engineer. His passions included fishing, camping, and pit mastering. He enjoyed classic and antique cars and train memorabilia. Among his greatest joys were his family and especially his grandchildren. Larry took pride in maintaining his yard and flowers immaculately. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Alexander; children, Jeremy Alexander, Jamie Alexander, and Misty Loudermilk; grandchildren, Blake, Alexis, Aiden, and Presley Alexander, Amanda, Brandon and Megan Loudermilk; five great-grandchildren; mother, Bobbie Alexander; sister, Julie Blythe; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Alexander.
