Larry Wayne Anderson, age 81, of Iola, Kansas, passed away September 22, 2025, at his home in Iola. Larry was born February 24, 1944, in Iola, Kansas, to Lawrence Anderson, Sr. and Geneva (Zornes) Anderson.
Larry attended school in Iola. He and Margaret Reed were married September 7, 1961, in Iola, Kansas.
Larry was a truck driver for the milk company in Erie, Kansas, he then worked for Walton Foundry, Quality Packaging, and Gates Rubber Company, from where he retired.
Larry enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He liked to work on small mechanical projects, like sharping lawnmower blades, working on mowers and small engines, and sharpening chainsaw chains.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Lawrence Anderson, Jr., brother, Bobby Joe Anderson; and sister, Pauline Hill.
Larry is survived by his wife, Margaret, of the home; daughter, Cynthia (Dan) Leslie; son, Rusty (Corinna) Anderson; grandchildren, Jacob Leslie, Caleb Leslie, Emily Anderson; great-grandchild, Angel Godina-Anderson; sister, Shirley Fursman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, in Gas Cemetery, Gas, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to Wings of Warriors, and may be left at Feuerborn Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas 66749.
