Larry Lee Andrews 77 of Pendleton, OR passed away on December 6, 2025, after a courageous battle with RSV, COPD and Alzheimer's.
Larry, son of Gerald Donald Andrews and Dorothy Pauline Ellison Andrews was born May 29, 1948. He grew up in Pendleton and Pilot Rock, OR. He graduated from Pilot Rock, OR 1966.
He married Nyla Florene Logue 2.28.1967. To this union were born three children. Shawn, Tamara, and Kimberly. Unfortunately, sadly they divorced.
Larry, in his early years, wanted to earn money. He sold East Oregonian newspapers up and down the streets in Pendleton as a kid saying "get your East Oregonian paper here". He had a paper route and shined shoes. He worked for the OR State Hwy Dept. He liked to cook and was a chef. He also worked for a drafting firm in Salem OR designing buildings and homes. He became a non-denominational ordained minister. He was a skilled carpenter and did remodeling jobs. He had his own Small Engine Repair Shop in Pendleton OR. He was also a skilled mechanic. He was a long time employee of SGS Government Services for the export trades. He took a 2 year course from NRI School Master Course in Microcomputers and Microprocessors in 8 mo. and became a computer technician.
He married Barbara J Mikesell on July 3, 1995 in Reno, NV. They moved to Apache Junction, AZ for his health issues. He loved nature and photography. He went to Yellowstone and took some great pics. He took a vacation - motorcycle trip to Wisconsin Dells for a Goldwing meet in July 2004. He loved trains and rode the Durango & Silverton train in Colorado. He was an outdoorsman that loved hunting, fishing, and camping, motorcycling, telescopes and HO model railroads and built beautiful layouts. He collected stamps, liked dancing, loved western movies. He especially liked learning and was a man blessed with many talents.
Larry was always positive and believed in the good Lord for his strength to endure. He had a great sense of humor throughout his life changes brought on by health issues. It was extremely hard for him to slow down and not to be able to do things because he always was able to do for himself.
