Larry A. Arnote

Larry Allen Arnote, 86, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 1, 2024. Funeral services were held Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Burial, with military honors, in Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, MO.
Larry was born on August 12, 1937, in Mill Grove, MO, to Paul and Mildred (Vanderpool) Arnote. Larry was a proud Army veteran, having served his country from 1960 to 1962. He married the love of his life, Jean High, on June 6, 1961 in Kansas City, MO. Larry spent his life dedicated to his work as an Operations Manager during his 30 year career with Western Electric/AT&T, a role in which he excelled due to his strong work ethic and dedication to excellence.
Passionate about bird hunting, Larry found joy in the simplicity and beauty of nature, especially when pursuing pheasants, quails, and doves. His enthusiasm for the outdoors reflected his robust spirit, always eager for new adventures and experiences. Larry will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his enduring work ethic, and his love for the simple pleasures in life. He was never one to slow down. He was also a member of the Church of Christ in Harrisonville.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Kenneth Stearns; 4 sisters; and a brother. He is survived by his wife, Jean, of the home; his grandchildren: Mason Stearns of Raytown, MO; and Mike Muller of Raymore, MO; his 5 great-grandchildren; his daughter-in-law, Donna Stearns; his brother, Nolan Arnote of Belton, MO; and his sisters: Jeanine Fair of Belton, MO; Annie Harvey of Trenton, MO; and Paulette Westerman of Clever, MO.
