Larry H. Bailey

Larry Herman Bailey, aged 73, passed away at home on January 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Larry married the love of his life, Caryn Merschman, on June 25, 1982, and they shared 43 years together. Together, they created a family that was always the center of Larry's world. Larry was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and proud United States Navy veteran.

Larry is survived by his wife, Caryn; his daughter, Candice, son-in-law, Jeffrey, and grandchildren Ezekiel, Anabelle, and Sophia; and his son, Trevor, daughter-in-law, Valerie, and grandchildren Logan, Colton and Jackson.

Larry was known for his stories, playful spirit, steady presence, and legendary hugs. He showed up without hesitation-whether in moments that required strength, patience, or simply love. His role as "Papa" was one he treasured deeply, and the bond he shared with his grandchildren was one of the greatest joys of his life.

Larry leaves behind a legacy of service, resilience, and unconditional love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 10 in the morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie, Texas. Larry will be laid to rest with Military Honors on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 11 in the morning at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
