Larry W. Bitler, 77, of Bloomsburg and formerly of Danville passed away on Monday April 7, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his daughter. He was born September 2, 1947 in Danville, a son of the late Raymond and Geraldine (Reichart) Bitler.
He graduated from Danville High School class of 1965 and then joined the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam War. Larry enjoyed going camping and hunting. He worked and retired from Hanson where he was the weight master.
Larry is survived by his daughter Cathy Neiswender husband Mike of Bloomsburg, three grandchildren: Victoria Cole, Christopher Tumolo, Kyle Neiswender, five great-grandchildren: Keira, Xaden, Deacon, Tegan, Kylie, two brothers Harold Bitler wife Lisa, Luther Bitler wife Thelma, and sister Margaret "Peggy" Decker husband George.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife the former Lois Auman, who passed away August 3, 2020, daughter Sherry Shultz, and two brothers Donnie and Ken Bitler.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may send online condolences to bunnellfuneralhome.com. The Rodger T. Bunnell Funeral Home, Bloomsburg is handling arrangement.
