Larry Charles Black, age 90, of Ashville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026. Larry was born on May 31, 1935, to the late Donald L. Black and Velma M. Wilson Payne in Fauquier, Virginia.

Larry grew up in Moxahala, Ohio, and graduated from Moxahala School in 1953. On September 12, 1954, Larry married the love of his life, Mona Lee Dickerson. He was employed by Rockwell International, where he dedicated 35 years of faithful service before retiring.

Larry had a passion for repairing things. As a young man, he repaired bicycles, later developing a skill for motor repair. He especially enjoyed working on cars and took great pride in keeping his vehicles well-maintained and in excellent condition.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his brother, Philip Black; nephew, Craig Black; son-in-law, Kenard Saunders; and grandson-in-law, Grant Reveal.

Larry is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mona; children, Dianna Saunders, Debra (Doug) Dixon and Larry Charles Black Jr.; grandchildren, Kendra Reveal, Mitchel (Rose) Saunders, Kyle (Joe) Morris; Pam (Heith) Good, Cindy (George) Lacy, Kim (Rock) Siler-Wurst, Doug (Natasha) Dixon Jr., and Melissa (Matt) Stryker; great-grandchildren, Colton (Tara) Saunders, Mason (Cheryl) Saunders, Kayla Reveal and Taylor Morris; Hayley, Hannah and Blaze Good, Christian and Aleah Gilliland, Asher and Britton Lacy, Jackson, Corinne and Truman Siler-Wurst, Berkley, Paisley and Wrenley Dixon, Miles and Monaca Stryker; great-great-grandchildren, Emma, Noah and Kelly Anderson, Alexander Saunders, and Eliza Saunders; nephews, Brian (Tosha) Black and Scott (Laura) Black; and favorite cat, Fluffy.

A private service will be held at the family's convenience. Arrangements have been entrusted to Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St, Ashville, Ohio. Online condolences can be made at www.olivercheekfuneralhome.com.
