Larry Joe Broughton Sr.

Larry Joe Broughton, Sr., 67, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on November 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on March 18, 1958, in Franklin, Ohio, Larry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose life was defined by his faith, hard work, and deep love for his family.
He shared 45 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Loretta Broughton. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, faith, and family. Larry was the proud father of two sons, Larry Broughton Jr. (Kayla) and Travis Broughton; and the adoring grandfather of Jaelin, Bentley, Mason, and Chase, who were his pride and joy.
Larry worked for 20 years at Commonwealth Block before continuing his service to others as part of the maintenance team at Southern Hills United Methodist Church. His strong work ethic and kind heart touched everyone who knew him.
Above all else, Larry cherished his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and never missed a chance to spoil them. His presence brought warmth, laughter, and love to every gathering. Larry also loved the Lord and lived his life with quiet faith and generosity.
He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him, but his spirit lives on in the love he gave and the faith he shared.

A service honoring Larry's life will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 463 East Main Street, Lexington, Kentucky, 40507, with the Rev. Dennis Burrows officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Lexington Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visitation from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M at the funeral home.
