Larry Charles Bryson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence on February 13, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on November 5, 1944, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Larry dedicated his life to his family and his work. He was the owner and operator of Bryson Machinery Movers & Riggers, Inc., a business that he ran with pride and commitment.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, William Taft Bryson and Ruby Cabe Bryson, as well as his siblings, Betty Morris, Gene Bryson, Booty Bryson, Roy Lee Bryson, and Glenda "Dinky" Singleton.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret Carol Gray Bryson; his children: Kim Farr (Jody), Stacy Ellis (Jeff), and Billy McCall. His joy was his grandchildren, Kelly, Lindsey (Jon), Justin (Jordan), Matthew, and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Isla, Paxton, Nash, Landon, Jessie, Mason, and Dallas.
Larry's family also includes his brother, Louis "Buck" Bryson (Claudette), as well as his sisters, Linda Neikirk and Brenda Queen; and his sisters-in-law, Gloria “Tinker” Bryson, Deborah Tinker (Ernie), Donna Stamey; and brother-in-law, Rusty Gray. ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry attended Ridge Baptist Church, he enjoyed working, being outdoors, he also loved to cook and spend time with his grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life from at 2:00 PM in the Chapel with Pastor Todd Terry. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jody Farr, Jeff Ellis, Justin Farr, Matthew Ewart, Andrew Ewart and Jon Vesano
