It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Larry J. Buffaloe, who departed this life on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the age of 38 in Belen, New Mexico.
Born and raised in a family rooted in love and faith, Larry was known for his strong spirit, unwavering dedication, and generous heart. A lifelong lover of football, he played passionately from childhood through high school. Though an injury ended his time on the field, it never dimmed his love for the game.
Larry was a devoted family man and a tireless provider. His work ethic was matched, only by his deep faith in God. He was a proud churchgoer, known for his powerful prayers and for lifting the spirits of others through his words and presence. He led with quiet strength and a kind soul, and his life reflected the values he held dear-faith, family, and perseverance. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own beef jerky business, which quickly became a local favorite. Friends, family, and neighbors all looked forward to his signature flavors and the pride and love he poured into every batch.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gina Buffaloe; his cherished sons, Terrell Buffaloe and Jordan Madrid; his parents, Leticia Buffaloe and Larry Buffaloe; his sister, Levina Buffaloe; and his brother, Carlos Zozaya. He also leaves behind beloved nieces Mya Taylor, Bryanna Taylor, and Willow Youngblood Zozaya, and nephew D'angelo Taylor, who will all carry forward his legacy of strength and love.
Larry's presence will be deeply missed but his memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Larry's life will be held on Saturday June 7, 2025 at 2pm at Iglesias Casa de Oracion Located on 2 Winston Drive. Los Lunas, NM 87031
