Larry Archie Collett, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2024.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Linda Collett. He is also survived by his children Ronnie Collett, Tabatha and Tim Albert and Courtney and Dan Smith, one granddaughter, Emily and Kevin Price and a precious great granddaughter, Livi, who he thought hung the moon. One brother-in-law, Danny (Martha) Martin. He also has many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Larry was born on January 24, 1949, to Willie (Bill) and Katie Lou Collett who have since gone to be with the Lord. He was the youngest of five children with three brothers and one sister. They have all been reunited in heaven now. We know he looked forward to being with them again.
Larry was known for his kind and gentle disposition, but above all else, his fierce love for his family. He was hard working and retired from Process Control after 40 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved playing pool and horseshoes and was very good at both. He is a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
He will truly be missed by all who knew him, and we thank God for the life he lived.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Bud Sutton and Rev. Alan Sutton officiating. The interment will follow in the cemetery of Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton, GA.
