Larry Crozier Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
A private family burial will follow at Rock Springs Christian Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00-1:00 PM on Thursday before services begin.
Mr. Crozier passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Crozier of Five Points; one daughter, Susan Crozier Meier (Chris) of Marietta, GA; one son, John Crozier (Heather) of Opelika; and one granddaughter, Caroline Meier Doyle (Taylor).
Pallbearers will be Billy Royston, Wayne Hodges, Tim Jackson, and Jackson Hodges.
A Roanoke, Alabama native, Mr. Crozier was born on September 19, 1945, the son of Charles and Mary Kate Jackson Crozier. He was a member of North Main Congregational Christian Church. Mr. Crozier was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict and was retired from the Alabama Marine Police, where he served for 30 years in Central Alabama, his highest rank being Captain. He enjoyed being a guitar craftsman in his free time and loved going to music halls and pickin' and grinnin'. Mr. Crozier was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in his memory be made to the Randolph County Learning Center at P.O. Box 127, Roanoke, AL 36274.

Dear Family of a fantastic musician, neighbor, human being,
I so regret not being able to join you this day, celebrating the good life of Larry Crozier. How very much I/we appreciated/enjoyed his providing music at the Fredonia Community House, Fredonia Methodist "singing nights," etc. As a singer/songwriter myself, I enjoyed much the few times I was able to participate with him and others. I have recently been thinking of Larry, wondering whether we might try to do a little music together. BUT because of my 90 yr.. old husband Jim having a variety of ARDs (Age Related DifficultieS)--as well as myself, in addition to our difficulty in preparing to move to my daughter's in GA, I had not even YET tried to contact him. But those "streets of gold" as well as AL communities will ring with joyful sounds as "singing folk" gather--because of Luthier Larry's example and devotion to music--the universal language.
