Funeral services for Sheila Ussery Williams Boyd, age 71, of Valley, formerly of Bacon Level, will be held on Monday, November 17th, at 3:00 pm at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Scott Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 16th.
Mrs. Boyd passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at her father's home.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kim Loveless of Roanoke; one granddaughter Maegan Daniel (Jacob) of Roanoke; one great-grandchild on the way; father, Jasper Eugene Ussery; sister, Regina Jackson; sister-in-law, Shirley Ussery; several nieces and nephews she loved dearly; and her daughter's beloved pet monkey, Lillie.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Daniel, Bryan Lowery, Chris Jackson, Paul Loveless, Jonathan Walker, and Greg Daniel.
Mrs. Boyd was born on July 14, 1954, the daughter of Jasper Eugene Ussery and Lela Laverne Stephens Ussery. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and retired from Troup County School System where she worked as an elementary education teacher. Mrs. Boyd loved playing bingo, going shopping, traveling to the beach, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, Lowell Hollis Boyd; brothers, Michael Ussery and Jason Ussery; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Loveless and William Loveless; and special friend, Rev. Dalton Hammock.
Memorials may be floral.
