Larry James "Jack" Daniel, who departed this life on January 29, 2025 in Jefferson LA, was born on September 14, 1968. Larry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
At the age of five, Larry was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, but he never let it define him or hold him back. Instead, it shaped him into the hardworking, determined man that everyone knew and loved. His strength and perseverance were matched only by his joyous spirit and unwavering love for his family and friends.
Larry was the cherished son of the late Alfred Daniels, Sr. and Carrie Daniels. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Angela Daniel, with whom he shared 19 wonderful years of marriage. A dedicated father, Larry leaves behind five beloved children: De'Asia Campbell, DeAnna Cheatham, Demi Daniel, and Deziyah Daniel; one grandson, Dallas Campbell; six brothers-in-law, Christopher Williams, Timothy Campbell, Nathan Campbell, Edward Campbell, Lance Campbell, and Dominic Campbell. Larry took great pride in being a grandfather to his precious grandson, Dallas Campbell who was his everything.
A man of deep compassion and generosity, Larry was also a loving godfather to A'layna Daniels, Neylan Mylove Bryant Campbell, and David Hay.
Larry is survived by his mother, Carrie Daniel, and a large, loving family. He will be dearly missed by his sisters, Sheila (Mark) Bodin of
Baldwin, LA, and Sharon Daniels of Verdunville, LA; brothers, Alfred Daniels, Jr. of Prairieville, LA, Allen Daniels and Christopher Daniels, both of Verdunville, LA, Joseph (Tiersa) Daniels of Franklin, LA, Bernard (Tiffiant) Daniels of Garden City, LA, Michael (Carla) Gunner of Verdunville, LA, Jeffery Banks of Verdunville, LA, and Paul Brown of Bayou Sale, LA; two of the many close friends, Todd Pellerin, and Perry Melton.
Larry was a man that held many job titles over the last 35 plus years. Larry's commitment to service extended beyond his church. For over 20 years, he proudly served as a volunteer firefighter, always ready to lend a helping hand in times of need. For the past 12 years, he worked for the City of Morgan City, where he truly enjoyed every moment of his job, bringing hard work and dedication to his role.
A man of deep faith, Larry was a devoted member of Greater New Hope Baptist Church in
Baldwin, LA, where he faithfully served as the dedicated sound room technician. He found great joy in being part of his church community and lending his talents to enhance worship services. On Sunday's after church service you could find Larry speed walking out of the church and on his way to sonic getting a large coke before going to his moms house for Sunday dinner and to "rest his eyes" as he called it. Larry was one of a kind and will be truly missed by everyone he has ever came in contact with. On holidays you could find him sitting at the dining room table at his mom's, with all of his nieces and nephews surrounding him waiting for him to make them laugh at whatever he could think of in the moment. Larry loved family, it was definitely everything to him.
Larry is proceeded in death by his son DeWayne Escort; father, Alfred Daniels, Sr.; mother in law, Luella Miller; sister- in-law, Ladonna Campbell; nieces, Destiny Cheatham, Baby Girl Daniels; nephew, Markus Cheatham; both of his maternal and paternal grandparents.
