Larry Eugene Davis, 71, of Clayton, Indiana—and a resident of Indianapolis for 42 years—passed peacefully in his home on November 29, 2025, at 7:41 a.m., surrounded by his loving family. After a long and courageous battle with his health, Larry was gently welcomed home to the Lord.

Born on July 23, 1954, Larry lived a life marked by dedication, faith, and unwavering love for his family. He was a proud Free Mason and the devoted husband to Sharon Lee Davis, they married March 31st 1984 and celebrated 41 wonderful years together. Together they built a strong, loving family and a lifetime of memories.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife Sharon; his children Jesse Branham (Terri), Chad Branham, Tracie Branham, and Jennifer Cory (Mickey). He was a cherished grandfather to Nathaniel Radcliffe, Kirsten Branham, Jaquelyn Baker (Jamie),  Haley Cory, Justin Cory, Brystol Lock (Ison), and Megan Sessoms, and a proud great-grandfather to Jeremy Branham, Taylor Baker, Tia Baker, Jamie Baker Jr., Jasper Bennett, and Isabella Baker.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Addy Davis, and siblings Charles Davis, Cathy Walton, Betty Wilson, Barbara Hacker, and Donna Poteet, as well as his great-grandchild Lucas Branham.

A hardworking and talented craftsman, Larry owned and operated Davis Painting from 1990 to 2015. His dedication to his work was matched only by the pride he took in serving his community and supporting his family.

Larry was an avid hunter and found true joy in the outdoors. One of his greatest pleasures was traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains—a place he held close to his heart—where he created countless treasured memories with Sharon, their family, and many dear friends over the years.

Those who knew Larry will remember his steady presence, his warm heart, and his deep love for the people around him. His legacy lives on in the family he adored and the many lives he touched.
