Larry Robert Dilbeck, 77, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, in Wolfe City, Texas. He was born on April 12, 1948, in Denver, Colorado, the son of Robert Alden Dilbeck and Mary Lou (Smith) Dilbeck.
Larry attended Ranom High School in Colorado, graduating with the class of 1962. He served in the United States Marines, during which time he was deployed to Vietnam. Following his service, he was honorably discharged. Following his service, he worked as a contractor, retiring after fifty years. Larry’s faith was especially important to him as demonstrated by his many years as an evangelist.
Larry had many varied interests during his retirement. He enjoyed making music with his guitar. He spent time playing solitaire and chess. Larry will always be remembered as a prankster, always conjuring up pranks on his family and friends.
Left to cherish memories of Larry are his children, Donnie Dilbeck, Robert Dilbeck, Henry Dilbeck and wife, Jennie, and Charlene Lemons and husband, David; his grandchildren, Malinda Lemons, Zach Lemons, Kayla Lemons, Juan Aguilar, Tabatha Smith, and Tony Smith, James Collins, Ben Collins, and Chrissy Collins; his great grandchildren, Savanna Collins, Garrett Collins, Rebecca Collins, Jordan Jones, Lilian Geoprge, Amelia Johnson, Daisy Collins, and Benjamin Collins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Alden Dilbeck, mother, MaryLou Charlene Dilbeck; and brother, William Charles Dilbeck.
