Larry "Tuff" Eble 85 of Kewanee formerly of Bradford, Il, passed away at OSF Hospital in Peoria, Il on May 15th, 2025.
Tuff was born February 2nd, 1940 in Bradford, Il. The son of George and Fayetta Eble. He married Janet Sturm on February 14th, 1972 in Aberdeen, Mississippi.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, and sons James Eble of Bradford, Il and Greg (Krista) Eble of Kewanee, Il and beloved grandchildren, Megan (David) Washburn, Haley Eble and Tyler Jackson, and Dana Eble all of Kewanee, Il and his adored great grandchildren, Owen, Blakely, and Jett, and one sister, Judy (Joe) Bachman of Roanoke, Il.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mary Loudenburg and Edythe Bosch of Connecticut and brothers, James "Jim" Eble, Donald "Buzz", infant brother Stephen and brothers in law, Loren Loudenburg and Ralph Bosch.
He graduated from Bradford High School in 1958. Upon graduation, Tuff spent majority of his life farming. He served as Road Commissioner for 16 years. He retired from FS. His hobbies included collecting toy tractors, rough housing with his great grandchildren, and his morning routine of breakfast and coffee at the Red Apple in Kewanee, Il.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00pm -6:00pm on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Bradford, IL. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Osceola Grove Cemetery in Bradford, IL.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
