Larry Eidson, 88, of Hahira, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2023 at Fellowship Home in Valdosta. Born to the late Samuel Eidson and Dovie Gray in Carrollton, Georgia, on March 23, 1935, Larry dedicated his life to serving the Lord and being the rock for his family. He enjoyed many years of retirement after a lifetime career in working as a machinist and tool engineer. Larry made his home in Hahira with his wife, Loudell, who he adored. As a Christian with a servant's heart, he was a member of Abundant Life Church of God and loved his church family. He enjoyed woodworking and working in the outdoors, but most of all he loved being Papa to his grandchildren.
Survivors are his wife, Loudell Eidson of Hahira; daughter, Brenda O'Keefe of Hahira; son and daughter in law, Dennis Eidson and Linda Randolph of Aiken, South Carolina; grandchildren, Shannon McGee and Jesse and Nikki O'Keefe of Hahira; great grandchildren, Colby McGee, Harley McGee, and Cali O'Keefe of Hahira; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Hazel Porter, Oneida Cameron, and Sara Shaw and brother, Lamar Eidson.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Abundant Life Church of God in Valdosta with Pastor Wayne Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 am. Flowers will be accepted but donations may be made to Hospice of South Georgia or Gideons International. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.

My deepest condolences to Mrs. Eidson, Sherry, Shannon and Jesse and the rest of the family. I was friends with Mr. Eidson“s daughter visiting her at her parents house. I always had a lot of respect for Mr. and Mrs. Eidson. Their lives always reflected the love of God. My deepest sympathies for your loss.
