Larry Farris Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smith Family Funeral & Crematory Services, LLC - Murfreesboro on Feb. 13, 2026.
Larry Eugene Farris, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, left this earth on February 7th at 9:17 a.m. at the age of 73.

Larry, or Rabbit, if you were a close friend, was truly larger than life - a mountain of a man with an unforgettable, boisterous laugh and a heart to match. He never did anything halfway. Not his passions, not his opinions, and certainly not his love. He loved deeply, fiercely, and with everything he had in him. He was a devoted husband, the best dad, and the best Poppa anyone could ever ask for.

He found joy in the simple things that made life great: music playing loud, a beautiful day outside, the rumble of a motorcycle, and most of all, the company of his beloved dogs.

Larry was a man of strong convictions and even stronger love. While he was firm in what he believed, he was also the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Above all else, he loved his family with his whole heart - a love so steady and so certain that there was never any doubt where you stood with him.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; his children: daughter Sara Grisham and grandkids Kinley and Gunner, daughter Athena Williams and grandson Jordan, son Timothy Farris and grandkids Kathryn and Colten, and son Larry Farris Jr.; and many others who were fortunate enough to know his laughter, his strength, and his immense heart.

Larry's absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his love, his laughter, and his larger-than-life presence will never be forgotten.
