Thomas Kent Earp

Thomas Kent Earp, age 63, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in the early morning of February 10, 2026, with his wife, Lisa, by his side.

He was born on February 7, 1963, and raised by his loving parents, Jerry and Fay Earp, in Murfreesboro along with his five siblings. There is no shortage of stories from his childhood growing up in a large loving family and we cherish them all. Kent was known for his out-going personality, ability to light up a room, and love of God and family. He was a lifelong Atlanta Braves fan, loved watching both daughters play sports in their youth, and loved coaching his daughter, Amanda, in softball for many years. Kent spent most of his career in automotive sales and later Real Estate. He especially enjoyed working with first time home buyers. He loved their excitement and negotiating for them in the purchase of their home.

Kent is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lisa Greene Earp, their daughter, Amanda (John) Welker, his eldest daughter, Krysta (Aaron) Ferry, and his grandchildren Aiden Ferry, Maggie Ferry, Savannah Ferry, Emery Welker, and Georgia Welker.

Kent is also survived by his father, Jerry (Janet) Earp, brother Keith (Sherry) Earp, sister Karen Webb, brother Kevin (Kim) Earp, sister Kathi (John) Hamby, sister Karonica (Tim) McDonald, mother-in-law, Patsy Greene, brother-in-law, Greg (Shelly) Greene, many nieces and nephews, New Vision Baptist Church family and small group, and an abundance of friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Fay Primm Earp, father-in-law, Ronnie Greene, brother-in-law, David Greene, nephew, Samuel Earp, and his beloved miniature schnauzer, Sophie.

A visitation will be held at New Vision Baptist Church, 1750 N. Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129, on Friday, February 13th from 1-3pm. Service will follow at 3pm.
