Larry 'Butch' Folkner, 83, of Easton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was born at home in Phillipsburg, NJ on July 6, 1940, he was a son of the late Francis H. Folkner and Jennie (Schweikert) Silverthorn. Larry worked at Craft Mill Rugs in Easton for six years and later at Bethlehem Corporation as a chainman for 34 years. Larry "White Buffalo" was a treasurer of the Highway Patrol CB Radio Club for over a decade. He was a member of the Stockertown Rod and Gun Club. Larry was an avid hunter and fisher. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. When he wasn't outside, he could be found in his garage fixing whatever he could. He was a very handyman and could be relied on to help you out with anything.
Larry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandra (Davis) Folkner; sons, Larry D. Folkner of Easton; Jeffrey Folkner and his wife, Tina of Easton; Richard Folkner of Easton; daughters, Dianna Miller and her fiancé, Sam of Easton; Tonya Miller and her fiancé, Charles of Pen Argyl; 24 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother, Russell Shupe of Anaheim, CA.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his great grandson in infancy, Kamill; sisters, Sandy and Joyce; and brothers, Ronnie, Bill, and Jack.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family to help offset the funeral and burial costs. Online condolences can be given at www.MorelloFuneralHome.com.
Viewing hours will be held Saturday, Aug 5th 2023, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:30 pm, with Timothy Poff, officiating, at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). Interment is private at the convenience of the family and will be at Northampton Memorial Shrine.
