Larry Friedrichsen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Minnick Funeral Service, Inc. - West Point on Jul. 11, 2025.
Larry Ray Friedrichsen was born May 16, 1950 in Denison, IA to Raymond and Donna (Kropf) Friedrichsen.
He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9 at the age of 75.
Larry lived a life full of passion and dedication with a particular love for driving truck, which he did for more than 55 years. He made countless friends and memories along the way. Larry's career in trucking was not just a job, it was his calling. He continued to drive truck even after he retired and his wife joked that he would go to work to get out of work, namely the honey-do-list.
On November 24, 1973 he married the love of his life, Lorri Johnson. They had 2 wonderful children, Angela and Chad. He instilled in them the values of hard work, integrity and the importance of family. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, warm smile, infectious laugh and those off the wall jokes. He left a lasting impression on those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Larry is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Lorri.
Daughter Angela Hunt, her fiancé Jamie Kramer, and her children Andrew Hunt, his wife Jenna and their children, Emma, Gavin and Lainey, and Angela's daughter Morgan Lipskey.
Son Chad and daughter-in-law Kimberly and their children Christian and Arianna.
His sister Joanne Shurter, Uncle Dennis Kropf (Vicki), brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Grandson Noah Hunt, a brother-in-law and parents-in-law.
An Open House Celebration of Larry's Life will be on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. will be held at 642 S. Niphon St. in West Point, NE. Private family burial will take place in the Mount Hope Cemetery in West Point. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is assisting the family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be sent to them for use at a later date or to a charity of your choice.
