Larry Wayne "Bucky" "Bucky" Gabbard

Larry Wayne "Bucky" Gabbard, 82, of Aurora, IN, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

He was born January 12, 1943, in Milan, IN, son of the late Taylor Gabbard and Margaret (Brown) Gabbard.

Larry served our country in the U.S. Army in Germany during Vietnam.

Larry worked as a wiring technician for Lucent Technologies, retiring after several years of service.

He was a member of the American Legion, Aurora Eagles, The Moose, Grand Masonic Lodge of Indiana and the Community United Methodist Church (Manchester) .

Larry enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing, and gaming, but spending time with his family and friends was his greatest joy.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Sue (late Brad) Carr and Goldye Lynn Gabbard; grandchildren, Lucas (Kali) Carr, Heather (Shane) Sterwerf, Lynsey (Tom) Alwes, Kaylyn (Seth) Forehand; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Reagan & Hudson; brothers, Jim Gabbard, Mike Gabbard; sister, Carol Lane.

He was preceded in death by parents, Taylor and Margaret Gabbard; son, Larry D. Gabbard; brother, Richard Gabbard;

Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post #337, Eastern Ave, Sunman, Indiana 47041 on Sunday August 31, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
