Larry Doyle Garner, 84, of Cullman passed into Glory on May 6th 2025.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 8th, 2025 at Fairview Methodist Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery, Pastor Bruce Grimmett officiating. The body will lie in state at the church Thursday prior to the funeral from 10-11 a.m. Visitation will be Wednesday evening at Cullman Funeral Home from 5:30 - 8 p.m.
Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
He was born March 9, 1941 to M.E. and Lula Pearson Garner. He is a graduate of Fairview High School. Larry served his country in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Shirley Monk Garner, his parents, sisters - Jewel(Floyd) Smith, Louise(Harold) Hunter, Irene(Adrian) Golden, Inez(Junior) Goodlett.
He is survived by his brother Hubert Garner and sisters Marie Kelly and Irma(Duel) Stapler, his sons - Keith(Anita) Garner and Barry(Michelle) Garner, Grandchildren - Heath(Selitia) Garner, Rhianna(Derek) Youmans, Brett(Mckenzie) Garner, Dylan(Alyssa) Garner, and Levi(Molly) Garner, Great Grandchildren - Reece, Kirra, Ashlyn, Lakelyn, Oaklee, and Davis along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers are: Heath Garner, Brett Garner, Dylan Garner, Levi Garner, Randy Monk and Craig Howard.
