Jimmy passed away on February 21, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital due to a hemorrhagic stroke. Born in Arab, Alabama, in 1966 to George and Helen (Nunnelley) Brindley, Faron was a proud graduate of Fairview High School, where he showcased his musical talent as a tuba player in the Aggie Marching Band. Following graduation, he had the remarkable opportunity to tour Europe with the United States Collegiate Wind Band, an experience that enriched his love for performance, music, and culture.
Faron continued his education at The University of Montevallo, where he became an active member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and served as a Purple Leader during College Night, the longest-running homecoming tradition in the United States. During this time, Faron discovered his passion for filmmaking while working as a casting assistant on the motion picture Gangland, which was filmed in Birmingham, Alabama. This pivotal experience led him to pursue his dreams in Los Angeles after graduating from Montevallo.
In Los Angeles, Faron spent several years at Costume Rental Corporation (CRC), contributing costume research for numerous motion pictures and television shows, including LA Law. His career in the entertainment industry was diverse, encompassing various production roles and even acting in local theater. Eventually, seeking a more stable career, Faron became the CFO of the Preferred College of Nursing. After many fulfilling years, he returned to Alabama, where he retired to be closer to his family and friends in Huntsville.
Faron is survived by his two beautiful sisters, Anne Smith of Decatur and Elizabeth Holmes (Tek) of Huntsville, along with his cherished nieces and nephews: Nancy Brindley Bhagia (Kam), Elliot Brindley (Ashley), Tara Claborn (Shannon), Tod Smith (Paula), Wes Holmes, and Casey Holmes. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Brindley of Baileyton, and his brother, Alton Brindley of Hartselle. Faron leaves a legacy of lifelong friendships from his time at Fairview, Montevallo, and California, which he valued deeply. All who knew him will miss his vibrant spirit and passion for life.
