Larry Wayne Goodbar

Larry Wayne Goodbar, 80, passed away on August 3, 2025. He was a resident of Bargersville.

Larry was born on April 16, 1945 in Highland Park, Michigan to Robert Lacey Goodbar and Millie Lucille (Gose) Goodbar. He married Carrie Pauline Williamson on October 23, 2006. She lovingly survives.

Other survivors include children, Bob Goodbar (Casi), Robin Douglas (Shawn), Dawn Miller, Tina Gonterman (Tony), Michele Wellman (Randy), and Chad Wellman (Lina); grandchildren, Zachery Goodbar, Garrett Goodbar, Grayson Goodbar, Samantha Sword, Derek Belser, Bailey Belser, Justus Miller, Destinie Miller, Madison Miller, Meghan Miller, Titus Miller, Carrie Ammerman, Megan Gonterman, Breighann Pugh, Parker Wellman, Cooper Wellman, and Josh Wellman; and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Robert and Millie; and sister, Linda Shreve.

Larry was a graduate of Ben Davis High School. He served in the United States Air Force.

Larry worked as a salesman for Industrial Hydraulics for many years. He was a member of Indy Dancers and Southport Masonic Lodge #270 F&AM. Larry was an avid golfer and devout Christian. He devoted his life not only to people he loved, but also to the animals he cared for so deeply.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Elara Hospice and Morning Pointe for their compassion in caring for Larry in his final days.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street (U.S. 31) in Franklin. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Harris Cemetery in Bargersville where military honors will be conducted.
