Larry A. Graves

Larry A. Graves, 73, of Burlington, died August 30, 2025. Larry was born February 21, 1952, in Battle Creek to Rodney and Patricia (Kelley) Graves. He graduated from Lakeview High School and worked as a dispatcher at the Kellogg Company for 27 years. He was a proud member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club.

Larry was an outdoorsman at heart, enjoying hunting, fishing and hiking. When he was younger, Larry kept in great shape by exercising and playing sports. Above all else, Larry was happiest when he was spending time with his family.

Larry is survived by his two children, Sunshine Graves and Adam Graves; three grandchildren, Ayden, Adyson and Amira; step-grandchildren, Aidan and Amaya; a nephew, Glenn Godbey and his significant other, Terri Hammond.

Larry married the former Sally Yarnell, his high school sweetheart, who sadly preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Deanna, Dennis, Shirley and Rodney and numerous aunts and uncles.

As per Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will held in the coming months. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, ALS (the ALS Association) or to Special Olympics. Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
