Larry Henning, (May 26, 1947 - January 30, 2026)
Age 78, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, with his family close by.
Larry grew up in Almena, Wisconsin, and spent his adult years living in Minnesota before retiring to Bonita Springs, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents-mother Marie, stepfather Norman, and father Albert-as well as his sister Diana.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Jodi Wegge (Tom Piccione); his son, Chris Henning; grandchildren Jasmine, Nick, Chace, Brandon, Benny, Brady, Mia and Ella; great-grandchildren Elijah and Breyonna; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wife, Karen, who selflessly opened her home and heart to care for him during his final days.
Larry proudly served in the Army National Guard for six years and, in 2024, participated in the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., alongside fellow veterans. Following his military service, Larry worked as a machinist throughout his career.
Larry loved nothing more than people. He was always quick to make a new friend and was rarely seen without a smile on his face. His warmth, humor, and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression wherever he went. His other great passion was his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, on which he logged thousands of miles with his amazing group of friends.
A devoted family man, Larry cherished time spent with loved ones-whether watching his grandchildren at sporting events, sharing a meal together, or enjoying a game of Yahtzee.
Larry's retirement years were spent in the Sunshine State, where he quickly formed a close-knit group of friends. He enjoyed relaxing by the pool, playing bocce ball and dominoes, and fully embracing the Florida lifestyle. Even from afar, Larry stayed closely connected with his Minnesota friends, as he deeply valued his friendships.
